OPPO AX5 with dual cameras and notch display spotted on Taiwanese and Indonesian certification websites
The AX5 is speculated to be a budget smartphone with the Snapdragon 450 SoC and a 4,230mAh battery“
OPPO recently unveiled the R17 in China, which comes with the latest Gorilla Glass 6 protection and flaunts a ‘Teardrop’ notch. The brand has also sent out media invites for a launch event to be held on August 21st in India, where it could launch the F9 Pro. Very recently, the complete spec sheet of the OPPO R15 Neo or AX5 – varying according to the region – was spotted online. Now, the same smartphone has been spotted on Taiwan’s NCC and Indonesia’s Infocom Media Development Authority hinting at an imminent launch.
The upcoming smartphone has been spotted with the model number CPH1851, which is different from model numbers PBAM00 and PBAT00 listed on TENAA earlier. However, reports suggest that the CPH1851 could be the AX5. According to the images spotted on the NCC, the upcoming smartphone is seen flaunting a dual-camera module at the rear and a notch display on the front. The handset reportedly features a glass body and misses out on the fingerprint scanner. We can see the USB Type-C port, loudspeaker grille and a 3.5mm audio socket at the bottom. The volume buttons can be found on the left edge of the phone while the power button sits on the right. The Indonesian listing doesn’t reveal anything other than the model number of the handset, and support for LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
According to the previous leak, the OPPO AX5 is speculated to come with a 6.2-inch HD+ display. Driving the performance is said to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. The brand is tipped to offer the handset in two RAM and storage configurations – 3GB + 64GB and 4GB + 64GB. As for imaging, the smartphone is expected to come with a 13MP f/2.2 + 2MP f/2.4 camera setup at the rear and 8MP shooter on the front. The phone is expected to boot Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.1 and draw power from a 4,230mAh battery.
While the pricing and availability information of the OPPO AX5 is not known yet, numerous listings suggest that the launch might be rather imminent.

There are many bigger chapters coming in our way, which can be far better than this with millions of great opportunities. So don’t give up if you don’t score well. We can get success even if we fail, because success is something we get from trying and not giving up...
