(A report in Forbes magazine, July 1987). 2. India is the Largest democracy in the world, the 7th largest country in the world and one of the most ancient and living civilizations (at least 10, 000 years old). 3.  India has the second largest pool of Scientists and Engineers in the World. 4. India is the only country other than the USA and Japan, to have built a super computer indigenously. 5. India is the largest producer of milk, cashew nuts, coconuts, tea, ginger, turmeric and black pepper, in the world. It also has the world’s largest cattle population (281 million).
