Each and Every organisms can live only for a certain period of time. The period from birth to the natural death of an organism represent its lifespan . Lifespans of organismd are not necessarily co-related with their sizes. (For e.g :- the size of crow and parrot are not very different yet their lifespan shows a wide difference). Whatever be the the lifespan , death of an every organism is a certainty , i.e, no individual is immortal except single - celled organisms .
